The company was established in 2010 by Ten Lau to resell water pumps to landed homeowners in Penang and was awarded sole distributorship for two of Grundfos’ product in Penang Island. Soon after the company was founded, Ten Lau was invited to be professionally trained on the best practice of water pump installations, troubleshooting and repairs.

Since then, Hydropump has grown from a water pump reseller to a full-service domestic water pressure solution provider. The lack of professionalism in the industry and a multitude of poorly installed water pumps were the main drivers for the transition.
